Identity Theft Protection

Cyber security is a priority at The Cecilian Bank so we offer two Identity Theft Protection Programs through Secure Identity Systems to make sure you're protected against identity theft and online fraud.

The Resolution Package

The Resolution Package is free to customers with a Choice Gold or Choice 50 Gold Checking account. Customers with a Choice, Choice Plus, or any other personal checking account may purchase the Resolution Package for just $2 per month. Stop by any of our convenient banking center locations to sign up for the Resolution Package if you don’t have a Choice Gold or Choice 50 Gold Checking account.

Once enrolled, if you become a victim of identity theft, the Resolution Package includes:

  • Assigned a Personal Resolution Advocate
  • Personalized Resolution Plan
  • All research, forms, letters, etc.
  • All pertinent agency contact information
  • Advice and assistance throughout the entire resolution process
  • Covers all types of identity theft if any account holders become victims
  • No time limit on the resolution process

The Platinum Package

Increase your protection with the Platinum Package. This package is available for individuals or family plans (which include enrollee, spouse/significant other, and up to four household dependents under the age of 25). It can be added to any account for only $7.95 per month for individuals or $13.95 per month for families.

The Platinum Package includes all of the benefits of the Resolution Package plus:

  • Total Identity Monitoring
    • Overall risk assessment available immediately after enrollment
    • On-going risk assessment available to view online
    • Proactive notification of any suspicious activity
    • Alerts via email or telephone
    • Can detect the suspicious activity of children and minors
    • Monitors non-credit related data such as Social Security, driver’s license, utilities, credit account applications, demand deposit accounts, brokerage accounts, insurance, web environments, and more
  • Credit Data Monitoring
    • Monitoring of credit header data which includes Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
    • Provides alerts and warnings when new credit is attempted, when new address changes are attempted, and for other suspicious activity
    • Credit Reports are available to view when you log in to your account (up to two reports per year)
    • Credit Report Card is available to calculate and view when you log in to your account (must be over 18 years of age)
  • Expense Reimbursement
    • Up to $25,000 reimbursement for expenses incurred through the recovery process of an ID Theft event including:
      • Attorney’s fees, court costs, affidavits, postage, telephone charges, notary fees
    • Up to $1,000/week lost wage reimbursement (includes self-employed)
    • No deductible
    • No time limit to file a claim

If You’ve Become a Victim

If you are a victim of identity theft and you have either the Resolution or Platinum Package…we’ve got you covered!

Resolution Package:  If you have the Resolution Package and discover you are a victim of identity theft, follow these steps:

  • Contact The Cecilian Bank.
  • We will then fill out the required documentation and forward it to the provider.
  • A Personal Resolution Advocate will contact you within one business day and begin the resolution process.
  • Your Personal Resolution Advocate will fill out and distribute all necessary forms, talk with agencies to clear your name and work as long as it takes to resolve the problem.
  • Your Personal Resolution Advocate remains available throughout the entire process to answer any questions and address concerns.

Platinum Package:  If you have the Platinum Package and discover you are a victim of identity theft, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your identity theft monitoring account and browse to the “If You’re a Victim” tab where you will find contact numbers and information to begin the resolution process.
  • You will then be assigned a Personal Resolution Advocate who will contact you within one business day and begin the resolution process.
  • Your Personal Resolution Advocate will fill out and distribute all necessary forms, talk with agencies to clear your name and work as long as it takes to resolve the problem.
  • Your Personal Resolution Advocate remains available throughout the entire process to answer any questions and address concerns.
  • Throughout the process, you can view your Resolution Tickets by going to the “Resolution” tab when logged in to your identity monitoring account.

Not Covered Under the Resolution or Platinum Package?

If you are not covered under the Resolution or Platinum Package and discover you have become an identity theft victim, we can still offer you resolution services! These services do not include expense reimbursement or identity monitoring. Resolution services will cost $75 per hour and coverage will begin the day you send your payment.
